  • Huge congrats to all the students who performed at the Falcarragh student concert over the weekend. Some serious talent coming out of West Donegal! Thanks to tutors Tine, Declan and Jim, Maeve and her staff at @pccfalc, and of course, all the parents and guardians for chauffeuring the students to lessons and encouraging them to practice throughout the year. In no particular order, we have: Shane - guitar, James - piano, Abbie - voice, Gillie - guitar, Tia - piano, Isobel - voice, Sean - guitar, Sophie - Voice, Moya - piano, Euan - piano, Johnny - guitar, Andy - guitar, Macha - piano, Luke - piano, Tess - piano. We'll be keeping an eye on these young musician's careers! @donegaletb
  • Thanks to everyone involved in the Ukulele Concert last week, and all the hard work put in over the year! Over 350 students, 19 schools, gathered last Thursday at @angrianantheatre to perform for their peers, with a special Brass performance from Scoil Mhuire, Glenties. A special thanks to Ukulele tutors Anderinna, Tracy and Nao, and Brass tutor Dave, to the teachers and SNAs of the schools who came, and to all the staff at the An Grianan Theatre.   • 𝗘𝗠𝗠𝗔 𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗭 | 𝗦𝗔𝗫𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 Next Wednesday, 4th of June, multi-award-winning saxophonist and composer, @emmarawiczmusic, is offering a workshop for Intermediate and Advanced Saxophonists at the @regionalculturalcentre, Letterkenny. Described by @jamiecullum as “an astonishing talent” and praised by @bbcradio3 as “the name on everyone’s lips right now,” Emma has swiftly become a rising star on the international music scene. Her latest album, CHROMA, released on the ACT label, was selected as The Guardian’s Album of the Month and has earned her further international recognition. Recently selected as a BBC New Generation Artist, Emma has played standout performances at illustrious festivals and concert halls, including a sold-out performance at Berlin’s Philharmonie and at the London Jazz Festival with the BBC Concert Orchestra. Thanks to @musnetirl and the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny, for making this happen. The workshop will take place at 6pm for 1 hour. The concert begins at 8pm.   • Another amazing student who will be performing this Saturday (17th) at the DMEP Student Summer Concert from 11:30am at the @regionalculturalcentre, Letterkenny. Admission is free. We could listen to Christine performing Chopin's Nocturne in Eb Major all day! Christine is one of Ursula's wonderful students who will be performing on Saturday. @donegaletb
  • On Friday, the Donegal Youth Orchestra prepare for their Summer Concert at the @regionalculturalcentre, Letterkenny. The Donegal Youth Orchestra Summer Concert takes place this Sunday, 18th of May, at 3pm in the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny. Admission is €5 on the door. @donegaletb
  • 🎻🎶 What a weekend of music! 🎻🎶 The @donegalchamberorchestra are playing a completely new programme of music along with St. Agnes' CCMA LSO and @soundsensemble in the @radissonblulk, this Saturday at 6pm. As a part of @bealtainefestival, over 70 musicians will perform well-known classical hits and popular tunes, including works by Corelli, Handel, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Les Misérables and The Beatles. The event is SOLD OUT - we hope you've got your tickets! @donegaletb
  • Here's Tomas playing 'Venetianisches Gondellied' by Mendelssohn. Tomas will be one of many students performing this Saturday, 17th of May, at our Student Summer Concert from 11:30am at the @regionalculturalcentre, Letterkenny. Admission is free. Tomas has been attending clarinet lessons with woodwind tutor Nigel for two years, and we can all agree is sounding great! @donegaletb
