Miles Graham set for Soundwaves Monthly

Singer-songwriter Miles Graham, whose songs have gone viral on Spotify and YouTube, is a special guest at the Soundwaves Monthly day for young musicians and singers at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny on Sunday (29th).

He’s appearing on the ‘Late Late Show’ tonight (Fri 27th).

Miles’s collaboration with dance outfit L’Tric on his song ‘1994’ has clocked up more than three million plays on Spotify. His latest song featured by Dutch dance DJ Don Diablo, ‘Bright Skies’, has already got more than 500,000 plays. He has been playlisted on BBC Radio 2 and has performed live on the station.

Dubliner Miles is joining Wall2Wall duo Sarah Murphy and Seamus Devenny who’ll be working with young musicians and singers at a ‘Create and Record’ day on Sunday, running from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Anyone aged between 12 – 18 who plays or sings and loves music of any kind is welcome to attend. The cost is €20.

Soundwaves is a nationally-acclaimed project organised by the Donegal Music Education Partnership. It began in 2015 with the support of the Arts Council/ Music Generation Partnership. Twenty young singers and musicians took part in the Soundwaves Monthly day in April.

Martin McGinley of the DMEP said he’s delighted Miles Graham is getting involved.

“Miles is coming along to see how Soundwaves operates. We’re hopeful that perhaps we can get him involved in a future project here in Donegal with Wall2Wall Music, who’ve made such a success of Soundwaves. Miles has a wealth of experience, as a songwriter, performer and in the studio. He’ll be a great asset for developing young musicians and singer-songwriters in Donegal.”
