Thurday, September 17th. Brass Routes – A Community Concerts with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Donegal Music Education Partnership (DMEP)
We’re delighted to be teaming up with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to bring the magic of classical music to students across Donegal’s west coast. With a special focus on brass instruments, the mini tour will give young people the opportunity to hear live orchestral music, learn more about the instruments and take part in hands-on workshops where they can try the instruments for themselves. The tour will make stops in national and secondary schools in the Dungloe and Glenties areas, inspiring students to discover the excitement of making music.
Friday, September 18th. Donegal Chamber Orchestra – Concert (Culture Night).
Join us in Conwal Parish Church, Letterkenny at 7pm for an evening of wonderful music.
Ahead of their 20th Anniversary Gala Concert at the An Grianán Theatre (Sunday, 25th October), the Donegal Chamber Orchestra are back in Conwal Parish Church for another edition of Culture Night. Led by Hungarian violinist Orsolya Szabó-Yélamo and conducted by Spanish musician Victor Yélamo, the ensemble will perform pieces from Bach, Mozart and Britten in the wonderful acoustics of Letterkenny’s oldest building.

Friday, September 18th. Donegal Youth Orchestra – Open Rehearsal (Culture Night)
The Donegal Youth Orchestra invites you to join us at one of our rehearsals in the Regional Cultural Centre from 6-8pm. Come along meet our members, discover what it means to be part of a youth orchestra and have a go at trying out an instrument.
