The Donegal Junior Strings Orchestra aims to complement the weekly individual instrumental lessons provided by the Donegal Music Education Partnership. It motivates beginners to work as a team, improve sight-reading and ensemble skills, build confidence and develop social skills. It trains and prepares string players for progression into more advanced ensemble groups within the DMEP.
The orchestra is led by cello tutor Víctor Yélamo and open to all Violin, Viola, Cello & Double Bass players aged from 7 – 14 years.
