Donegal Music Education can hire instruments to students attending the weekly classes. It means you can try lessons for a year or two – or more in some cases – and not have to commit to buying what may be an expensive instrument.

Instrument hire depends on availability – there could have been a big rush on cellos or flutes while you were having your tea (and planning to do cello or flute). We do have a big selection of instruments so you’ll probably be in luck.  Try something!

If you’re thinking of lessons, here are the fees.

The charge for a 30 minute lesson, one-to-one, is €16.30. The four instalments over the 30 weeks of tuition will be €145, €124, €110 and €110. Total – €489. Most of our students take 1-to-1 lessons.

The cost of group lessons is €9 per student for a 30-minute lesson with one or two others. Instalments there will be €80, €70, €60 and €60. Total – €270.

The fee for joining one or more performing groups is €100.
