Tuition, tuition, tuition!

The Donegal Music Education Partnership provides quality, after-school, instrumental and vocal tuition on a wide range of instruments in numerous centres across the county.

Individual or group tuition (a maximum of three in a group) is offered on a range of instruments.

The tuition calendar follows the school academic year – 30 weeks’ tuition from September to May.

Here’s our 2023-2024 tuition calendar, which starts week beginning Monday 4th September –

The standard duration of the weekly lesson is 30 minutes. Students preparing for examinations (mostly Royal Irish Academy of Music and Trinity College London) are encouraged to take 45 – 60 minute lessons once they reach the standard of Grade 5 and above.

Tuition Fee Payment Options:

Tuition Fees are payable in four instalments over the course of the year by any of the following methods.

  1. Online using your Debit or Credit Card  (click on the ‘Pay Online’ button after logging in using the code we give you on enrolment )
  2. By phone – call us on 07491 76293 and use your debit or credit card

Contact us if you can’t find it) and your PIN (which you can reset if you’ve forgotten or mislaid it, provided you have the family username and the last four digits of the mobile number you gave us).

Fees can of course be paid in full, or you can pay more than one instalment at a time. Go to ‘Pay Online’ and tick the boxes.

Contact us if you’d like to transfer your payment electronically into our account –  call John on 087 715 4700 (office hours).

2023-2024 fees

The charge for a 30 minute lesson, one-to-one, is €22.  Payment is quarterly in advance. This year you can pay in eight instalments by arrangement. Email us on musiceducation@donegaletb.ie

Most of our students take 1-to-1 lessons.

The fees are reduced for small groups (2-3) and larger groups, when available.

The fee for joining one or more performing groups is €100.

Come on adults!

The service is primarily aimed at children (7+) and young people but we also like to see adults coming along for lessons.

Instruments available

We have instruments for hire too, so you’ve no excuse! The hire fee is also payable in instalments. Click on our ‘instrument hire’ page.
