What a talent! Congratulations to Jack on receiving 98/100 on his @trinityartsuki Grade VII exam for Untuned Percussion in Classical & Jazz. Here he is performing Tombo in 7/4 Jack has performed along with the @donegalchamberorchestra for their recent concert at @angrianantheatre as a part of @soundfilmfestival. Jack's own band @dirttax released their first EP just last year! He is definitely a credit to his tutor, Seamus. @donegaletb #drums #drumsdaily #music #musiceducation #trinityexams

Ever wanted to start learning a musical instrument? We are hosting a 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦 & 𝘛𝘳𝘺 at @finnvalleycollege on Tuesday, 17th of June at 6:30pm.

For ages 7 and up, we offer flute, clarinet, recorder, and saxophone lessons starting in September.
We are offering group and one-to-one lessons.

Join us on Tuesday to see if your child would like to sign up.

All quiet tonight as we miss our fortnightly Donegal Youth Orchestra rehearsal here at the @regionalculturalcentre, but now as the term comes to a close, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful DYO conductor @vincent_kennedy_compoVincent Kennedy in September, the Tri Orchestra collaboration with @musicwestmayo and @artscoolemusic, to hugely successful Christmas and Summer concerts - not to mention the cancelled trip to Mayo in January due to storm Éowyn - and all the rehearsals in between, we are really looking forward to what the new term will bring in September.

And what better way to celebrate than to listen to two of Vincent's pieces on their 20th anniversary today. Find them in our stories!

Charles is one of our many students who took part in exams over the past weeks. Charles received a distinction in his first London College of Music Examinations exam!

Special congratulations to students Alfie, Henry and Ailbhe from Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Aisling from Scoil Cholmcille, Callum from Raphoe Central NS, and Unami from St Aengus’ NS, who all performed in front of their final year peers.

Thanks to our conductor and music directors Victor Yelamo and Orsi Szabo-Yelamo, to the schools and their staff for hosting us, to our new young student conductors and dancers for the day, to the parents for taxiing to and from rehearsals, and of course, to the DJS themselves for all their hard work!
