Lots of fun at ‘Come and Try’, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon

We had a great time at the ‘Come and Try’ sessions last night (Tues, 11th Sept) in the Adult Education Centre in Donegal Town and Coláiste Cholmcille in Ballyshannon. Good turnout in both places and lots of enthusiastic tryer-outers!

Thanks to tutors Victor Yélamo and Don Swain who came along, and to our own John McIvor. And to Caoimhin and Catherine MacAoidh for the tea (and lemon cake).

Thanks to Angela McGee who greeted us in Donegal, and at Coláiste Cholmcille to Janet Morrow, music teacher Mark Cronin and caretaker Michael Donagher. Good to see Anthony Travers again.

Here’s a pic from the more sedate early stages in Donegal Town  with Victor helping out a possible future cellist, and Joseph Edwards who came with his mum Barbara Edwards to show what a bassoon can do. The silver horn (euphonium) proved a big hit!

We still have the occasional place in our music and singing classes so if you’re interested get in touch – musiceducation@donegaletb.ie or phone 087 1677 699.
